Summer - Move over, it's October!

September was a quiet enough month for Clontarf; kids went back to school, many teams and clubs began again after the summer break, and the Autumn weather started to creep in relieving us of the idea that we might get a final burst of Summer sun.

Two of Clontarf's local heroes, Ellen Keane and Mick 'The Claw' Clohisey, received their official homecoming after their terrific performances in Rio. Rounding off the great summer of sport, we also saw some healthy competition for the All-Ireland final with a great promotion from Spar.

Following a significant build up of traffic around Clontarf at rush hour this week, we would like to remind our readers that the James Larkin section of the Clontarf Road will remain closed until Monday 24th October to facilitate road resurfacing.  This will be followed immediately by further closures from Mt Prospect Ave to the junction with Kinara which will be ongoing until the 27th of November.

As always, we love to hear about local news and events and receiving your great photos of Clontarf. So if you have something you'd like to share, please get in touch with us by emailing info@clontarf.ie or visiting our Facebook page!

Until next time,

The Clontarf.ie Team
