Countdown to Christmas!
Christmas is just around the corner (3 more sleeps!), and here at Clontarf.ie HQ we are counting down the days…and fighting over who gets the chocolate!
December saw big reasons for celebration here in Clontarf. The first being the greatly anticipated re-opening of the Clontarf Road, following lengthy closures over the month of November to facilitate road resurfacing as part of the S2S scheme. Although work on the cycle track is ongoing, the Clontarf Road is now accessible at all points, as are the businesses located along this stretch!
The second celebration comes in the form of a big announcement we made at the start of the month; Clontarf.ie will be moving to the domain LoveClontarf.ie, and we are also planning a complete overhaul of the website in in early 2017! More info on this can be found below. We also just found out Clontarf.ie is nominated once again in the LAMA Awards - we're over the moon!
There are some great festive events coming up over the next few days to get involved in. The CY&BC Annual Christmas Day Swim takes place on the 25th at 10:30 am for those brave enough. A fundraiser walk in aid of Jonathan Ranson has also been organised for St. Stephen's Day.
Finally, if you're still figuring out plans for how you're going to ring in the New Year, check out our guide to NYE in Clontarf, and support local business by staying local on December 31st!
As always, we love getting photo submissions in from our readers. If you have a photo you’d like to include in our 2016 Reader’s Gallery email them into us at info@clontarf.ie!
Until next time!
